Community Involvement

Most recently, in 2026, Cherise was nominated as a Santa Clarita Valley Woman Of the Year candidate by both the Zonta Club of Santa Clarita Valley and Bridge to Home. In 2025, she was names one of Santa Clarita’s Top 51 Most Influential People by the Signal. This is an honor she also received in 2024, 2023, 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019 and 2017. In 2025, Cherise was also recognized by the WeWil Collabroative, Inc. with the Empower Her Award during Women’s History Month for her role as a servant leader. Cherise has received numerous awards for her service including in 2023 and in 2021, being honored as one of Santa Clarita’s Most Influential and she was also voted in by the community as the Ultimate Educational Leader. These recognitions are given to honor those who help to better the Santa Clarita community through their actions, good deeds, and overall collaboration with those in the Santa Clarita Valley. Cherise’s service aligns with her passion for education and through serving as a Trustee for the William S. Hart Union High School District, she can do “Moore” and serve our community in an even greater capacity as a champion for students.
